Illustrative system schematics

These maps show functional routes. Pipe and cable size, equipment capacity, complete valves, electrical zoning and implementation details should be completed in the project plan.

The continuous arrow indicates the direction of water or power and the dashed arrow indicates the steering wheel.

8–1. Schematic diagram of water circulation circuit

Basin or tank
Safe inlet and strainer
Show pump
Distribution manifold
Nozzles
Level sensor
Control and protection

Conceptual Schematic 8-1 | Implementation details should be completed according to the project design

This circuit shows the water circulation of the show. The purification circuit can be independent. The location and design of the suction should be compatible with people's access, and level control should determine the pump's work permit.

8–2. Schematic of bypass pump circuit

Basin or tank
Pump
Discharge branch
Nozzle circuit
Controlled bypass

Conceptual Schematic 8-2 | Implementation details should be completed according to the project design

The displayed bypass is designed for a specific hydraulic purpose, such as providing the minimum flow required by the pump. Its capacity and logic must be in harmony with the manufacturer's order and curve. This path is not a purification or disinfection bypass.

8–3. Schematic of the purification circuit

Basin or tank
Strainer
Treatment pump
Filter
Supplementary disinfection if required
Backwash to approved discharge
Dosing and mixing as designed
Flow and water quality monitoring

Conceptual Schematic 8-3 | Implementation details should be completed according to the project design

Sensor placement, injection points, and equipment arrangement should be determined by manufacturer's instructions and material compatibility. Material injection must be locked with valid flow. Injection points of incompatible materials should not be implemented as a joint connection without design provisions.

8–4. General schematic of the electrical circuit

Electrical supply
Main isolation and protection
Pump branch protection
Lighting branch protection
Control branch protection
Safety circuit
Starter or drive
Safe supply suited to the design
Controller
Pump motor
Luminaires

Conceptual Schematic 8-4 | Implementation details should be completed according to the project design

In the implementation plan, PE, combination, differential current equipment according to the case and specifications of separate protection devices should be displayed. Removing these components from the simple form does not mean removing them from the design.

The safety circuit must specify the behavior of each part; For example, the need to stop the show does not necessarily mean to stop all water conservation processes.

8–5. DMX control schematic

DMX controller
Isolated splitter
First device, branch 1
First device, branch 2
Next device
Next device
Line terminator
Line terminator

Conceptual Schematic 8-5 | Implementation details should be completed according to the project design

Each branch should be executed with proper cable and termination. Branching must be in accordance with the permitted structure of the network and equipment. If RDM is used, the controller, splitter, and routing equipment must be compatible.

Safe supply outside the prohibited zone
Output distribution and protection
Compatible luminaire or driver 1
Compatible luminaire or driver 2
Lighting control

Conceptual Schematic 8-6 | Implementation details should be completed according to the project design

This figure shows the parallel connection of equipment compatible with such a structure. A lamp with a constant current driver or dedicated system must be connected according to the manufacturer's circuit.

Voltage, type of current, cable length, voltage drop, immersion conditions and the possibility of working out of water should be determined from the characteristics of the lamp. The requirements for lamps for this application are presented in IEC 60598-2-18 [450].

8–7. Schematic of an example of an interactive dry floor fountain

Nozzles
Deck and collection channels
Make-up water with sanitary separation
Return-water receiving tank
Treatment pump
Filtration
Supplementary disinfection
Disinfection and mixing
Treated show-water tank
Quality, flow and level monitoring
Safe show enable
Show pump

Conceptual Schematic 7–8 | Implementation details should be completed according to the project design

This design is a two-tank conceptual arrangement. The capacity of tanks and treatment must be coordinated with the maximum return flow, display and required storage.

Additional details include containment of contaminated runoff, permitted discharge, overflow, suction protection, washdown access, and stop logic in case of treatment or disinfection failure. Hydraulic circulation alone does not guarantee the suitability of water for public contact.
